Dragon Rapide G-AGTM outside Keenair/LFS Hangar on the Liverpool GA.
Welcome to Keenair Charter Virtual & Liverpool Flying School Virtual. LFS was originally named Liverpool Aero Club, formed by Jim Keen in 1963. The very first aircraft that was used was the brand new Piper Colt. Since then the flying school has taught thousands to learn to fly. Most of them have gone on to fly for airlines, while the rest of them have instructed or flown privately. LFS has owned more than 40 various aircraft and has over 250 pilots/trainees, it operates 5 aircraft from the new GA apron at Liverpool John Lennon.

Keenair Charter was the side company of LFS, flying 2 Piper Aztec aicraft. They moved swiftly to owning two Trislanders from 1998 till 2003/04. These Trislanders regularly flew the excess cargo for Emerald Airways, delivering the mail/papers to Ireland & Isle Of Mann. In 2003/04 they seen the oppetunity to go larger, getting their hands on 2 Embraer Bandirante's. The Bandits as they were known took over the cargo flights, slowly bringing the Trislanders to a holt and selling them. Keenair was vastly becoming a major cargo company out of LPL. The flights expanded to Europe. They also had declared passenger flights to and from Cork, twice a day on Fridays and Sundays. This was great for them, they had opened a new route and were in production of opening a route with a new airline to LPL. Then disaster struck, Euromanx came in with there ATR's and Beech 1900's. Keenair slowly fell off the map. The company was then sold on to Blackpool Airport under Flykeen. This serviced BLK-IOM-BFS on a scheduled charter. This eventually ceased operation an Flykeen was then taken over by A2B Airlines, who have now also currently ceased operations from BLK.

The 2 Bandits sit desolate in BLK and Ronaldsway airports.

I am now looking to bring Keenair and LFS in to the virtual reality world of flight simming, i have the aircraft underway being designed. We will be opening Keenair first, with two EMB-110's in full Keenair livery. I am looking for pilots who can fly Piper Tomahawks and Cherokee's for the Flying school aswell as various other aircraft based in the No.4 hangar at LPL. To train up and coming pilots in the simming world. This is a project at the moment. Hopefully i will manage to keep Keenair/LFS going, as to expand on aircraft and also routes/destinations.

Stay tuned for more information on this site!!

This website and Virtual Airline is in no way part of the Keenair Charter or Liverpool Flying School business, this is strictly for fun and for Flight Simulator.
